Artist’s Statement

My primary focus is on figurative works, using the human form to convey universal principles, emotions, and ideals. While my work is representational, I pay close attention to abstract, symbolic, and allegorical elements. I have three purposes as an artist—to constantly improve my technical skill and artistic vision; to create works that convey a living spirit, from sensuality to whimsy; and finally, to achieve works which are aesthetically pleasing.
