My primary interest is on figurative works, using the human form to convey universal principles, emotions, and ideals. While this work is representational, I pay close attention to abstract, symbolic, and allegorical elements. When not doing figures, I enjoy creating playful paintings of everyday life and objects. I am at heart a bricoleur of life.
I have three purposes as an artist
… to constantly improve my technical skill and artistic vision;
… to create works that are alive with feeling, whether that feeling is spiritual, sensual, or whimsical;
… and finally, to achieve works which are aesthetically pleasing.
